Expect the day to be social and chilled out. We will walk at a leisurely pace with time to chat, time for silence and of course ample time to enjoy and admire our surroundings. We are better talkers than walkers so don't expect to get anywhere fast :-)
A Day out to Celebrate Spring, for me my favourite of the seasons for walking.
Broxbourne Pumping Station below
Join us for a day out with Spiritual Friends along the River Lee, just 30 minutes by Train from London, Liverpool Street.
A relaxing 4 mile circular walk on the Hertfordshire and Essex borders. Discover the greenest and bluest spaces in the heart of the Lee Valley, their fascinating history and wonderful wildlife. The route heads north along the New River, turning east at the north end of Admirals Walk Lake, before returning south from Dobbs Weir along the River Lee Navigation towpath.
If you have never been to this area then you are in for a real treat :-)
The walk will start and end at Broxbourne Railway Station. The round trip is approximately 4 Miles. The Terrain A mixture of surfaced pathways, towpath and grass pathways, several bridges and steps, several steep inclines and walk-around and kissing gates.
